Gleam is an annual art exhibit featuring local, national, and international artists creating light-based installations throughout the outdoor gardens and tropical conservatory at Olbrich Gardens in Madison, WI, USA.
This is a mix I began compiling in 2018 as a soundtrack for Gleam. It’s a continuous textural journey made for wandering in glowing gardens.
I paired the sounds in this 80 minute listen with visual characteristics of each installation by referencing photos and videos of Gleam from 2018-2020.
Someday I hope to broadcast a similar soundscape during Gleam through speakers placed around Olbrich’s 16-acre outdoor gardens.
